Shrader Engineering provided electrical engineering design services for approximately 50 acres of container yard within the Bayport Terminal Complex – a $1.4 billion container and cruise terminal located in Pasadena, Texas.
Our design services included: the development of plans and specifications, as well as construction cost estimates for electrical service distribution from the Port’s existing 138kV substation, distribution systems, reefer power bunkers, high mast lighting, grounding system, and future communication and security infrastructure.
Shrader also developed a computer model of the crane feeder loop system and electrical substation in order to analyze temperature, short circuit, power flow, and protective device coordination. Shrader actively coordinated the master electrical design with other Bayport facility projects under design at the time of the project.
