Shrader Engineering is an innovative leader in wastewater facility electrical, instrumentation, communications, SCADA automation, and security design. Our firm is focused on providing designs that support a strong cyber security best practices implementation program.

Wastewater Treatment Plants

With extensive experience in UV (ultraviolet) disinfection systems, SBR (sequence batch reactor) control systems, sludge processing, high-rate aerobic digesters, odor control, water reuse systems, and influent lift station controls and instrumentation, Shrader Engineering routinely incorporates proven technologies to increase reliability and reduce maintenance in the wastewater plant environment.

Our firm is involved in supporting the design of new treatment facilities as well as renovating and modernizing existing facilities. We believe in designing robust and secure SCADA control systems and communication networks to streamline the monitoring, controlling, and reporting processes for wastewater facility operations.

Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations

Shrader Engineering’s experience in sanitary sewer lift station design ranges from simple duplex pump stations controlled by floats to complex multiple PLC controlled pump systems. In addition to electrical design, we also offer mechanical design for lift pumps and related components.

Our team regularly supports Civil Engineering firms with designing and engineering new lift stations as well as renovating and modernizing older lift stations.

“Wastewater treatment plants consist of multiple treatment processes and must be controlled by a reliable SCADA automation system to keep everything running smoothly with minimal downtime. Our design team is able to provide not only reliable power distribution design, but also robust SCADA automation design, and secure networking design to connect multiple facilities. It is important to make sure these three design elements are linked together by a design firm that not only understands these elements, but also understands the operational and reporting requirements of wastewater facilities.”
