Critical Infrastructure

Critical infrastructure requires robust and redundant connectivity that maximizes uptime and mitigates downtime. A wide range of facilities fit this description and some within our region include:

  • Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Production
  • Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Storage
  • Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Transport
  • Hospitals & Healthcare
  • Electrical Generation Transmission & Distribution
  • Water & Wastewater Treatment
  • Airport & Aviation

Much of the region's critical infrastructure is in close proximity to the Houston Ship Channel and that adds an additional layer of constraints to consider when designing and implementing a telecommunications solution that spans across waterways.

The telecommunications systems within critical infrastructure facilities must be designed with multiple layers of redundancy in mind. Power, security (physical and cyber), and network redundancies must all be taken into account. Shrader Engineering is unique in that we posses the subject matter expertise for all these layers.
