Emergency & Standby

Shrader Engineering actively supports the development of emergency and standby power generation systems located throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Our firm has vast experience in emergency and standby power generation design for municipal infrastructure projects as well as mission critical, emergency and industrial facilities.

We develop our engineering solutions to suit the need of the client, and are proficient in the use of unique sizing software applications for load stepping and load shedding analysis. We ensure that the fuel type, generator size and switching mechanism are based on specific operational loading schemes and maintenance requirements of the project.

Shrader Engineering has designed projects ranging from 35 kW to 2MW generators. We are well-versed in the design of hydrocarbon-based generator systems (diesel fuel) as well as gaseous spark-ignited (natural gas) generator systems. Each has its own set of EPA requirements that must be adhered to, including specific maintenance requirements to ensure continued compliance with EPA mandates.
