Shrader Engineering also works alongside industry-leading architects and engineers in providing traditional mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for new and renovated facilities.

Our firm is involved in a wide spectrum of standard and specialized MEP systems design for administrative, information technology, educational, institutional, governmental and industrial projects. We offer an array of design and construction-related services for new facilities as well as provide expansion, renovation and refurbishment of existing facilities.

Mechanical HVAC Systems

Shrader Engineering has a plethora of design experience in mechanical systems that include heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, chilled water systems, microprocessor based controls, building automation systems, humidity control and infrared heating systems. 

Adhering to ASHRAE standards, our firm uses HVAC modeling software to accurately calculate detailed zone loading, air conditioning tonnages and heating with required outside air loads, as well as total building loads; including CFM quantities from which to make equipment selection depending on the building application or configuration.

Electrical Systems

Shrader brings extensive electrical design experience to every project, including electrical service distribution, integrated power distribution systems, lighting systems, standby power and automatic transfer systems, uninterruptible power supplies, surge suppression, grounding, life safety and emergency-power-off (EPO) systems.

Our Computer Modeling Specialists are trained and certified in the latest electrical modeling software programs performing power flow modeling, short circuit analysis, underground cable raceway temperature, protective device coordination and arc-hazard flash analysis.

Plumbing Systems

We provide design for domestic water systems, storm and waste drainage systems, fire detection and suppression systems, compressed air and gas systems, water softening systems, fuel dispensing systems and industrial tank farms. 

We calculate flow rate data and develop detailed and intuitive riser diagrams based on applicable codes for placing of leaders, main stacks, floor drains, floor sinks, sprinkler risers and fire standpipe risers.
